Body Language

An online series to deepen the mind/body connection with Kari Azuma and Erica Vargas.

This session's topic: Exploring our FAWN response: Understanding Why We Sacrifice Our Needs for Belonging

ENROLL NOW

Have you ever had that moment when you wish you would have said something, but you didn’t because the stakes felt high?

Many times as high performing women, we don’t consider ourselves weak, or faltering in our ability to be powerful leaders, but then we will have these funny moments (big or small) where our courage seems to momentarily pause.

All of a sudden we are:

01

Stuffing down more advice from a relative or friend, that we did NOT ask for

02

Not saying anything to another mother because you don’t want to appear controlling (even though he’s literally hitting your kid)

03

Silently wishing there was a boundary with someone in your life, but super worried they will take it the wrong way

… and you feel annoyed, agitated, resentful.

The crazy thing… this is not necessarily all your fault.  Not to say you don’t get to take responsibility for your reality, BUT, your nervous system plays a bigger role than you think when it comes to feeling blocked around speaking up for your desires and needs.

In this live class you will learn all about the nervous system state known as “FAWNING,” a reaction from your social nervous system that keeps you in patterns of acquiescing your needs, or power in some way, so that you can be accepted.

In this class you will learn:

  • Why you outsource your safety by taking care of others instead of yourself.

  •  Why boundaries can be harder than we think to enact.

  •  Why you may feel taken advantage of by friends, co-workers or authorities (maybe more often than you would like), even though you feel like you’re good at asking for what you want.

Where you will build competency in:

  •  Supporting your body in listening to the cues of whether you are truly a Yes or No.

  •  Meeting fears and getting curious about why some things make you feel uncomfortable showing your true self.

  •  Gaining a deeper understanding of your nervous system, the role that it plays, and how to support it when it feels like we might lose connection with someone.

JUNE 18TH | 1:30 PM CST

We will complete this learning with an INCREDIBLE Breath work session with facilitator Erica Vargas

who will support you moving through fawning patterns by discovering your breath as a deep ally for your body to feel safe.

This event is only $33 and the value will be HUGE.
